About the Founder
Hello, I’m Jolise,
founder and creative lead of
Crafting Hearts.
I’m a passionate educator, artist and mum of two, with over ten years of experience working with children in primary education, particularly within the Early Years and Foundation Stage.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand how creativity can help children grow in confidence, express themselves and discover abilities they didn’t know they had. This is what inspired me to create Crafting Hearts.

I believe art is about so much more than creating something beautiful. It develops fine motor skills, encourages problem-solving and curiosity, supports emotional expression, and gives children the freedom to experiment without worrying about getting everything “right”.
Through Crafting Hearts, I aim to create a warm, calm and encouraging space where every child feels safe to explore their ideas, try something new and be proud of what they achieve.
Every child brings something different to the art table — and that individuality is something I love to celebrate.
Crafting Hearts is about
creating art, building confidence and nurturing happy, creative learners
- one brushstroke at a time.
